For “Dire encore nos histoires...” (Tell Our Stories Again), six high school classes at the Lycée Albert Einstein had the chance to work with the artist Sébastien Rémy on the premises of the psychiatric hospital Perray-Vaucluse of GHU Paris—Psychiatrie et Neurosciences, a remarkable part of the City of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois’s cultural heritage.

Drawing on real archives such as patients’ correspondence or their suitcases conserved on site, and the oral histories of formal hospital professionals, the high-schoolers, working with Rémy, their teachers and the staff of the partnering institutions, imagined fictional stories for the inhabitants of Perray-Vaucluse. The workshops carried out with the students showcased different art practices, notably writing, photography, and sound editing.

La Piscine d’en face is pleased to present the pieces done by the seconde (fifth form/tenth grade) students of classes 4, 8 and 10 of 2018-2019, the seconde students of classes 6, 7 and 8 of 2017-2018.
