CAC Brétigny has invited Zoé Saudrais to take part in a residency with two classes from Le Parc junior school in Leuville-sur-Orge. Using mealtimes as a starting point, her project explores the notions of sharing, coming together and common narrative.

Through a series of workshops, the students try their hand at drawing, writing and creating visual forms, particularly banners, to collectively invent images, messages and stories. The residency provides a space for dialogue and creation where individual gestures transform into a shared creation. Zoé Saudrais’ work explores the relationships between drawing, writing, publishing and forms of collective storytelling.

Through installations, posters, banners and publications, she looks at the social uses of images and the way they can bring people together, pass on knowledge and generate a common voice. Her practice uses drawing as a tool for bringing people together, where personal stories, everyday gestures and skills become the raw material for participatory artworks

A graduate from the Beaux-Arts de Marseille, Zoé Saudrais lives and works in Nantes. At the intersection of art and design, she has developed a practice in which objects and devices become vehicles for dialogue and collective action. Her works have been presented in several exhibitions, notably at Art-o-rama and the Mulhouse Biennale. In 2025, she was awarded the Mulhouse Biennale’s critic’s prize.
